Elizibith and johnathan's grandpa gives someone the painting of Joshua Bailey to fix the frame and Mr. Latimore found a message in the frame so when Elizebith and Johnathan find out they really want to get the note and when they got it their mom and their grandpa don't let them read it until they get to the house. And after they got to read it they were always trying to find out the words. And then they found all the words. And after they found all of them they found another masege. And they found out that Peter Rutlige hid the treasure. And when they solved the mystery they found a butterfly made out of jewels and Ruby's and they decided that they would pass it down to generation to generation.

I love this book and here are 3 facts about this book there was a portrait and there was a note and they thought it was so cool, the 2 thing is Elizabeth finds like a million books about horses, the last one is there was a person how touched her and it left a print on her arm and it was white.

This is so far my favorite book. What i love about this book is that there can be a LOT of mystery in one little portrait. Another thing that i love about this Book it that when Elizabeth and Johnathan team up to find out, they work together even though Elizabeth thinks Jonathan is a little to annoying. The second thing that i love about this book is how much their grandma believes that Elizabeth and Johnathan can solve the mystery and she didn't give that mystery to their parents but instead they gave them to Johnathan and Elizabeth. The last thing that i love is that Elizabeth is so nice and caring! I love that instead of just not letting Johnathan come in, she lets him help out with the mystery. Those are my reasons why i love this book.
